Why Global LMIC
Bilal Awad from Palestine, Oncology and Palliative Care Nurse , Work at the Oncology and Hematology Department at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, Palestinian Ministry of Health , also  work as Lecturer & Clinical Instructor in some Nursing Faculties in Palestinian Universities , I work since 2007 in Nursing at Ministry of Health  and other Specialist's Hospitals , received and gained international experience at Glasgow in Scotland. Keen to improve further my practical experience and earning graduate Master and PhD academic degree to continue serving humanity and my community ,
Because the Cancer patients is usually diagnosed at late stage, which make it harder to cure the disease, this affects their quality of life; it becomes poorer, so that there is a huge necessity to provide high quality of Palliative and end of life services , I will put all my experiences to help cancer patients ,
iam living in one of the low income countries with limited resources and a lot of challenges and difficulties that make the access to the health care services difficult for our oncology patients and their families, as long as being able to have the treatment at earliest possible time in order to get a better chance of survival.
Our role as a Palestinian nurses is to try to improve and develop our oncology and cancer care and nursing professionals. this opportunity Oncology and Palliative Care Nursing Master program as well as networking opportunities that will give me a chance to access to education session and that will reflect on our mission to develop the nursing care and to advocate for our patients as empowered nurses will achieve their goals and develop their nursing oncology practices.
I live by the highest standards of moral character and integrity. I love, respect, encourage and defend for the truth, sympathy for the protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and I have a huge commitment to any duty I get, I have the enthusiasm to develop oncology and palliative care nursing to the highest level I can nowadays and in the future, and I hope to be a leader in the positive change through using my moral force of character and instincts to lead, serve people through their life and to positively impact the life of every person I meet.
Cancer patients in Palestine usually diagnosis in 3rd and 4rth stage of disease, at this stage they can only benefit from palliative care intent of treatment, so that I search for any opportunity to be more aware and to share my experience to get more knowledge, skill and attitude according to oncology and palliative care nursing, I am really motivated in this society and I wish to get the opportunity for conferences , this opportunity will enhance my skills, knowledge and attitude to be more effective in nursing care for cancer patients, this will increase my teamwork effectiveness, dedication, integrity, truthfulness, accountability and degree of self-esteem.
